Korean Language Course 2026

Incomplete or incorrect applications may not be considered. Registration Notice The Korean Language Course (King Sejong Institute) at the Korean Cultural Centre UK (KCCUK) is a social education programme designed to teach the Korean language while introducing students to a broad range of Korean cultural topics. After completing the full one-year curriculum (3 terms), students will be able to communicate confidently in Korean in everyday situations. All courses run across 3 terms, and students are expected to complete the full-year programme. Please note that once Term 1 begins, mid-term entry or late registration will not be permitted. Course Format (2026) Classes will be conducted in a hybrid format: In-person Class ●Sejong 1 (Beginner) – Saturday Location: Korean Cultural Centre UK (KCCUK) Online Classes (Zoom) ●Sejong 1 – Evening class ●Sejong 2 ●Sejong 3 ●Sejong 4 Textbooks will be provided by the instructors. No materials need to be purchased. 2026 Course Timetable Term Dates ●[Term 1] 10 January (Sat) – 27 March (Fri) ●[Term 2] 9 May (Sat) – 24 July (Fri) ●[Term 3] 5 September (Sat) – 20 November (Fri) Class Schedule (Beginning 10 January 2026) ● Sejong 1 – Beginner (Instructor: LEE Hakkyung) Saturday – In-person at KCCUK 10:00 – 12:00 12:00 – 14:00 Saturday – Online 17:00 – 19:00 ● Sejong 2 – Pre-intermediate (Instructor: CHOI Heeyun) Friday – Online 18:00 – 20:00 20:00 – 22:00 ● Sejong 3 – Intermediate (Instructor: CHOI Heeyun) Thursday – Online 18:00 – 20:00 ● Sejong 4 – Advanced (Instructor: CHOI Heeyun) Thursday – Online 20:00 – 22:00 All classes run for 11 weeks per term. Application Procedure Application Period ● 10 December 2025 (Wed) – 31 December 2025 (Wed), 23:00 (UK time) ● Applications submitted outside this window will not be accepted. How to Apply ● Applicants must apply through the official form: 👉 APPLY HERE ● Applicants may apply for only one class. ● Duplicate or multiple submissions will be removed. ● Once enrolled, class changes are not permitted. Selection Method ● Students who successfully completed KCCUK Korean Language Courses in 2025 are automatically accepted for 2026 (no lottery). ● New applicants will be selected via a random lottery, due to limited class capacity. ● A waiting list will also be generated. Announcement of Successful Applicants ● 5 January 2026 (Mon), 11:00 (UK time) ● Notification will be sent by email only. ● ❗ If you do NOT receive an email, you have not been selected and cannot join the 2026 classes. (Please check your spam/junk folder as well.) Important Notes Once Term 1 begins (10 January 2026), no late registration or additional enrolment will be accepted. No mid-term entry under any circumstances. Textbooks will be provided by instructors — no purchase necessary. Students are expected to attend and complete the full 1-year curriculum (3 terms). Eligibility ●Anyone aged 18 or over interested in learning Korean. ●Applicants who previously dropped out may not reapply. ●Intermediate/advanced applicants may be required to take a level test. Course Fee ● £50 per term (Payment details will be provided to successful applicants.) ● Refunds are not available after Week 2. Application Period : 14 DEC – 28 DEC 2025 Korean Language Course The Korean Cultural Centre UK (KCCUK) is delighted to announce the schedule and application details for the 2025 Korean Language Course, part of the King Sejong Institute programme. This course offers a unique opportunity to learn the Korean language while immersing yourself in Korean culture. Course Overview ●Class Format In-person classes: Only Sejong 1 (Beginner) classes held on Saturdays at the KCCUK. Korean Language Course 2024
Registration for the 2024 Korean language courses is now closed. Information and registration details for the 2025 courses will be announced in mid-December 2024 on the KCCUK website and social media channels. Thank you for your interest and understanding. The Korean Language Course The Korean language course, provided by the King Sejong Institute at the KCCUK, is a social education course which not only teaches the Korean language but also introduces Korean culture to students. The course includes a wider introduction to all aspects of Korean culture through the language. Each course lasts for 3 terms and takes 1 year to complete. After the pandemic, classes were conducted online until 2023. However, starting from 2024, the Sejong 1 class will be conducted offline at the KCCUK, while the Sejong 2, 3 and 4 classes will be conducted online. Please take note of this information. Please note that the Sejong 1 class will be conducted offline (There are no plans to conduct it online.). Application window is now open Application Period: 5 Jan 2022 - 15 Jan 2023 Korean Language Course The Korean language course, the King Sejong Institute, at the KCCUK is a social education course that not only teaches the Korean language but also introduces Korean culture to students. The course includes a wider introduction to all aspects of Korean Culture through the language. Upon completing the course students will be able to express themselves in Korean on a vast range of topics. Each course lasts 3 terms and takes 1 year to complete. This year, we offer the online course so you could apply for our course from out of London. For students of the higher levels, we ask you to take a brief level test (Reading, Writing and Speaking) in order to confirm that you are suitable for the level you have applied for. ●Application Procedure Application Period: 5 Jan 2022 - 15 Jan 2023 Application forms received outside the application window will not be accepted. ●How to apply: Fill in your application form here. Once the application window has been closed our computer software will select at random the successful applicants first and then a waiting list, the names of which will be posted on our website and contacted by email with further details.
